Alas, Downton Abbey is coming to a close. Whatever will we do without Lady Mary and the Dowager? One thing is for certain: They would want us to keep a stiff upper lip and have a strong cup of tea.
The Greater Grand Forks Community Theater is hosting a fun-raising tea party. Gather your friends, don a hat and join the fun! There will be tea sandwiches, tea cakes, and — tea!
Guest can compete in the Downton Abbey Trivia contest and the hat fashion show, vying to win tickets to upcoming shows at the Fire Hall Theater.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12, or $15 at the door. (This event is extremely popular and advance purchase is strongly encouraged.) Tickets available by calling 746-0847, M, W, F from 9 – 2:30 p.m. Or by emailing with your reservation. You will be called back to confirm your reservation and to provide a credit card number.
Know someone with a special birthday or retirement coming up? Reserve the Royal Table, where six guests will be treated like Queens, or at least Lords and Ladies. Cost: $120.
