The Concert will take Grand Forks audiences on a journey to explore the music of Argentina.You will be introduced to the beauty and intensity of the songs of the original peoples of Argentina, in the voice of UND faculty Dr. Anne Christopherson and experience the dances of the Gauchos, the free roaming dwellers of the Pampas.
In the second part, the program moves from the rural landscape to the agitation and lure of the never-sleeping capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires, through its most celebrated music, the Tango. Multi-artists Leonardo and Olga Suarez Paz will team up with the GGFSO to present tango dancing and singing, in a night that is bound to stay in the memory of the music lovers in the region.
