“We are excited that an individual of Stacey Majkrzak’s caliber has joined the DDA as our first executive director. The Board of Directors welcomes her, and we are confident that her extensive experience will help the DDA make great strides in achieving our mission of building a vibrant, thriving, and growing downtown community.’, said the DDA’s president of the Board of Directors, Jonathan Holth.

Married 14 years, Stacey and her husband Brent have three children, Adriauna, Henry and Vivien. They reside in Thompson.

“The Downtown Development Association Board of Directors have built a solid foundation that is prime for growth,” Majkrzak said. “Downtown Grand Forks has grown tremendously and it is a downtown filled with history and potential that we intend to keep building upon. I will work with the board, community and city to keep downtown growing while ensuring it has the look and feel of a community where we can all be proud to bring our families. I am so excited for what the future holds for Downtown Grand Forks and I’m honored to share in this experience with the community.”

The vision of the Grand Forks DDA is to develop a downtown that is stable and growing; encourages economic development and business diversity; is walkable and pedestrian friendly; and is safe and clean. This is a downtown in which business, residents and visitors can take pride, visit frequently and use to its fullest potential.
