Grand Forks DDA to Sponsor September 2016 Street Fair—Vendor Applications Now Invited
The Grand Forks Downtown Development Association (DDA) will sponsor a first-of its-kind Downtown Street Fair September 9-10, 2016, in downtown Grand Forks. The Street Fair will be free to the public and will feature artisans and vendors from around the country and Canada, as well as a “Taste of the Fair” food experience
Applications for the Street Fair are now open to all interested vendors. Applications should be submitted through Zapplication (zapplication.org), a one stop universal online application system that allows artists to submit and manage applications for participating art shows, festivals and fairs. Applications should be submitted by April 29, 2016.
“The Downtown Street Fair will provide a fun and unique opportunity for visitors and vendors alike,” said Jonathan Holth, board president of the DDA. “Visitors will enjoy a wide variety of artisans and unique food selections in one convenient, walkable area.”
With an anticipated 30,000 guests, vendors will have the opportunity to showcase their crafts and interact with a large number of attendees from throughout the region. In addition, the DDA will award cash prizes and trophies for categories like Best of Show, People’s Choice, and Most Interactive.
Vendor information including prices, regulations and booth information can all be found zapplication.org.
The GFDDA’s vision is a downtown that is stable and growing; encourages economic development and business diversity; is walkable and pedestrian friendly; and is safe and clean. This is a downtown in which business, residents and visitors can take pride, visit frequently, and use to its fullest potential.
